Big hint things are going to get worse they only have been getting worse u just been on a slightly less shity peice of shit only finance advice is buy gold or silver and stop worshipping new name brand stuff go buy used stuff and stop gambling take that money and buy silver oz
With technology these day there no need for brocker thief's anymore and big companies like swift crst headland ect.. are the reason freight is so sheep
Guys don’t want to admit these tariffs are directly responsible for freight rates to be so low. Can’t believe how so many people can’t see the correlation. Half of our goods come from China guys. Trump puts tariffs on goods, China refuses to ship, market capacity softens. What’s so hard to understand? Stop blaming brokers, agents, shippers. Stop telling yourselves that were over saturated with drivers. It’s Trump, he got your votes, and you all got played. Find a new career.
Its called surplus of trucks and drivers..demand and suply..way to many trucks on the road so the brokers pay the cheapest because you have alot of options and there will always be some desperate guy willing to go for cheap who has a brand new truck and 8k in payments a month
I cant believe truckers are so stupid…they flooded the market with foreign drivers to lower your pay …look everywhere you go 8 out 10 drivers are foriegn open your sheeple eyes .
So nobody wants to blame me elephant in the room? Can you say"tariff war"? Hmm, would we be in this mess if there was no new taxes on shipments? The sky is literally falling! Why can't we start a class action lawsuit against the government? If corporations are people, so is the government. Freight rates are low but diesel is steadily rising. We need to be a subsided industry. All we ever get are more regulations. We must be the most taxed industry in America and we just take the crap!
Keep letting the brokers keep that much money, brokers can stick it where the sun won’t shine, brokers are taking advantage of the market and the drivers
I watch your video but here is the problem with your concept most trucks get about 5 mpg to 6.5 mpg and working 20 yrs with my authority and knowing the national avg on cost is about 1.68 to 1.78 just on cost. And you are speaking from a truck that gets nearly 8 or 9 mpg . My guess is you pull mostly LTL and you have said in other videos your weight was 6,000 lbs that is LTL freight. And ltl does pay more because you are light weight. So when you speak in terms about what to accept and what not to accept weight plays one of the biggest factors on rate. Because of the fuel burn. Now you honestly missed the bulls eye on this one imo. Taken freight below the national avg is definitely not the correct way to run and stay profitable you got the same concept a company driver has when you say run more miles. That is their idea because they do get paid by the mile and do not have to factor in all the cost. but i strongly disagree with you on the advise you have given in this video.. Here is the thing right now this time last year we had 20% outbound tender rejection rate. And this year we have 4.9 outbound tender rejection rate. The lower the number in outbound tender rejection rate the lower the rates per mile. The higher the number in outbound tender rejection rates the higher the rate is paid out per mile. So the issue right now is people like you are running cheap freight.. And btw iam a Georgia boy also… thought i would throw that out too… Think of it this way you have 5 trucks in say in Albany, Georgia and out of those 5 trucks 4 of those trucks reject the cheap rate but that one truck decided to take that cheap rate. Well that one truck just lowered the rate for that lane . Good luck man but you need to rethink this video…
This is a secondary comment now hes talking about taking freight to California everyone knows freight coming out of California isn't worth enough to pay for your fuel he obviously isn't business minded
This guy seriously has no realistic idea what hes doing as far is business goes he is uneducated and deafly not a full blown on to for newer if you're smart don't listen to a word this idiot is saying
There is no conspiracy to rip off truckers. It’s supply and demand. Freight volumes overall are down slightly and capacity has grown out of control. Until freight volumes increase and/or capacity dies off, rates are going to be awful. We might see some relief going into December when AOBRDs are banned.
Dude, in all honesty, what is your cost of running your equipment per mile (insurance, plates, ifta, road tax, fuel, tires, truck repairs, truck maintenance, truck payments, loading boards, phone services, toll, feeding yourself on the road, trailer payments and if someone is dispatching you, dispatcher fee, factory fees and taxes ) Even if you are super frugal most trucks cost between $1 to $1.15 per mile. How do you fee yourself and your family on $1.25 per mile? Antonio, the 18 wheeler
If prices are low it might mean that there isnt a shortage on truckers. If there was a shortage, that means people will pay more. Just my thought.. nice cabelas shirt btw!
Last yr was better then normal . Been a oo for 18 yr and out here 28 yr. Last 6 yr avg 195g a yr . Truck makes money for every day of the week if it moves or not. 500 a day 365.days is 182500 . Or 3500 a week on 7 days . I do ky to ca for 5g on 2000 miles and 3500 back 2000 back twice a month 17g a month on 8000 miles a month
U got to be kidding talking about $1 a mile how long how many years do you expect trk drivers to run cheap loads when everything around us has gone up. There needs to be a minimum rate starting at $2 per mls. Trk drivers deserve more than what we getting
No recession the big companies are controlling the lds. you see all these huge buildings all across the United States. Something is going on.! Its not the market is up and down.
I've watched your videos for a while man, great advise. I really appreciate the knowledge you provide. I'm getting into trucking this month, starting company and looking for owner opp in a year or two. Your videos inspire me. Thanks man
Explains a lot! Good analogy of trucking being similar to stocks.
Cheap freight, don't tote it
Big hint things are going to get worse they only have been getting worse u just been on a slightly less shity peice of shit only finance advice is buy gold or silver and stop worshipping new name brand stuff go buy used stuff and stop gambling take that money and buy silver oz
Michigan has lost 10 companies in the past 3 months I've seen at least 15 companies close there door in the last 6 months
Hey here’s a simple solution, every fucking truck driver in America company driver or not sit for one week bet the rates will go up
Tupelo lol that was the broker calling 😂
With technology these day there no need for brocker thief's anymore and big companies like swift crst headland ect.. are the reason freight is so sheep

It's April 1st……… Now wat shit head
The fuel is only rising, while making money goes down, truck repair etc. no worth doing runs until the eco get better
Update? It's May now
It’s May and the rates are fucked up, when are we going back to normal?!
Its called surplus of trucks and drivers..demand and suply..way to many trucks on the road so the brokers pay the cheapest because you have alot of options and there will always be some desperate guy willing to go for cheap who has a brand new truck and 8k in payments a month
We're into may and it's still bad and getting worse.
That's right, tell it!
You talk a lot of shit lying to those don’t know more than you do of this trucking business asshole!!!!!
I cant believe truckers are so stupid…they flooded the market with foreign drivers to lower your pay …look everywhere you go 8 out 10 drivers are foriegn open your sheeple eyes .

So much for the driver shortage
Its may 1st things are even worst time to start panicking
Keep letting the brokers keep that much money, brokers can stick it where the sun won’t shine, brokers are taking advantage of the market and the drivers
Two words: Bruce Oakley
Yea driving for 1.25$ is the problem here n ppl like that are ruining the rates
YOU TAKE TOOOOO LLOOOONNNGGG TO GET TO THE POINT
I've took loads from Oregon to Florida for a 1.80 a mi and the rates to take a load out of Florida at best was .90 a mi.
Having a truck that's worth more than what you payed for dosent give you a paycheck.
Brokers make all the money.
Fuel is sky high in Virginia to and rate is keep going down not understand ??
Owning your Own Authority is Not the Same as being an Owner Operator… Owner Ops don't really face Risks compared to Authority Owners.
WE MUST CONQUER.

It's past April 1st, rates still suck. Florida to Oregon I can barley get $1.70

They have figured that there are so many trucks that someone will take it. They are taking advantage of us!!

Yeah I'm definitely just gonna be a company driver for a couple years if God allows me to get into this industry lol.
